Patient Testimony
“The first appointment, my doctor actually read through everything I'd already tried. He didn't ask me to repeat myself, he already knew. And then he explained, specifically, what he thought was worth trying and why. That was new.”

Questions new patients commonly have
What does the first appointment involve?
Your initial consultation is conducted directly by a fully licensed medical doctor. During this intake, your psychiatrist will design and prescribe an evidence-based treatment plan tailored completely to you.
Is TMS right for me?
TMS is typically considered for patients with depression, OCD, or related conditions who have not experienced sufficient improvement with standard treatments such as medication or therapy. During your consultation, a physician will review your clinical history and determine whether TMS is an appropriate option for your diagnosis and treatment goals.
What does TMS actually feel like?
TMS is a non-invasive treatment performed while you are awake and seated comfortably. During the session, patients usually feel a tapping sensation on the scalp where the magnetic pulses are delivered. Treatments are generally well tolerated, and most patients return to normal activities immediately afterward.
What's the difference between conventional and accelerated TMS?
Conventional TMS is typically delivered once per day over several weeks. Accelerated TMS uses the same technology but condenses treatment into multiple sessions per day over a shorter period of time. The most appropriate protocol depends on your diagnosis, clinical history, and physician assessment.
What is the difference between psychiatry and neurology?
Both psychiatry and neurology focus on the brain and nervous system, but they address different categories of conditions. Psychiatry focuses on mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, OCD, and ADHD.
Neurology focuses on neurological disorders such as epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis.
How does Bridge handle insurance verification?
Because Bridge provides integrated care that includes subspecialty psychiatry, nutrition, and research-informed treatment programs, insurance participation can vary.
Provider-Specific Networks: Many of our physicians are in-network with select major insurance carriers. Coverage may vary depending on the individual physician providing your care.
Covered and Non-Covered Services: Standard psychiatric consultations are often covered by insurance. Some specialized programs or adjunct services may fall outside of traditional plan benefits.
Transparent Costs: Before your first appointment is scheduled, our team verifies your insurance benefits. You will know in advance what your plan covers and what your out-of-pocket responsibility may be.
Do you offer nutrition therapy and ADHD evaluation as standalone services?
Yes. Nutrition therapy and ADHD evaluations can be scheduled independently if those are the services you’re seeking. Some patients choose to access these services directly, while others integrate them into a broader treatment plan developed with their physician.
Can I visit Bridge before I decide to start treatment?
Yes. If it would be helpful, we are happy to arrange a brief visit so you can see the space and meet our team before deciding whether to begin care.
What if I just want Spravato?
At Bridge, we do not provide treatments in isolation or on-demand. Our practice is built on The Bridge Promise to prioritize good medicine, which means we treat comprehensively.
Comprehensive Evaluation First: Your care begins with a consultation with a board-certified physician who residency-trained exclusively in psychiatry.
Evidence-Led Protocols: We only administer Spravato (esketamine) if our specialized diagnostics and a review of your treatment history indicate it is the clinically appropriate path for your long-term recovery.
Integrated Treatment Logic: If Spravato is indicated, it will be integrated into a unified treatment plan that may include a combination of psychotherapy, nutrition, or research-led protocols to ensure the best possible outcome.
Clinical Honesty: If we determine that a different treatment is more appropriate for your condition, or if your case exceeds our subspecialty expertise, we will say so and refer you to the proper specialist.
If there's something specific you want to understand before starting a question about your situation, a concern from a prior experience, a coverage question, include it in your message or call us directly.
We'd rather answer questions before your first appointment than after.
